Snowy Day

The snow is coming down hard, but of course, since this is a boarding school, all the boys are still in classes.  Here's a picture I just took out our window...
We had fun making a pancake breakfast for the boys last Saturday night after they all got home from the dance.  11:00pm breakfast!  They definitely enjoyed it and almost ate all six batches of pancakes!  Thank you to the parents who have donated money throughout the course of the year to help us pull off these fun activities!

Jack and his friend, Hunjae, who picked a great night to sleepover in the dorm!

We had a busy start to the winter term, and can't believe we're already on vacation again!  Scott and I wish you all a wonderful holiday with your family and friends!  We had a great meal prepared for us by Evan's parents, Josie and Tate, last weekend!  They made us lasagna, salad, garlic bread and fruit salad and also provided some cookies and brownies for dessert!  The boys loved having a home cooked meal!

Nachos and Brunch

Alex Southworth, wife of English teacher, Peter, and mother of three Proctor girls, has started a small catering business to provide an avenue for parents who live far away to connect with their kids and their child's peer group by providing delicious home-cooked meals.  Thanks to Bill and Christine Dwyer, the boys enjoyed nachos on Saturday night and a delicious brunch of Alex's homemade cinnamon rolls, bacon, sausage, pineapple skewers and orange juice on Sunday morning.  This food was delivered right to the dorm and was a huge hit.
Here Richard and Sam pass around the nachos...

Here are some pictures from Sunday morning...

The Start of Winter Term

The winter term has arrived and with it we've welcomed two new students to Johnson House!  Evan and Jerry have settled in just fine and we're glad they are a part of our dorm!

Christine Dwyer sent me a few pictures from a cookout she and Bill hosted in November.  Scott and I were at his brother's wedding, so we missed the fun, but the boys enjoyed some good food and watching the "rail jam" that took place on Johnson Hill.

Scott baked some cookies and brownies for the boys last night and they enjoyed spending some time together in the common room before heading off to their rooms for the night.

This will be a busy weekend with the first athletic contests for many teams and the always popular hypnotist show on Saturday night!  We're looking forward to a great winter term in Johnson!
